1.         Ron Patterson takes on new Printing Industries’ Role

Well known printing industry identity Ron Patterson has been appointed Printing Industries new General Manager Victoria and Tasmania and National Sales Manager.   Ron has been Victorian Regional Councillor from 2001 and was the Chairman of PacPrint 2005.  Welcome Ron to the team at Printing Industries Vic/Tas.  To read more go to Printnet.

 

2.         Martin Fothergill of PaperlinX to be Guest Speaker at Quarterly Function

Printing Industries’ next Quarterly Function will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at Kooyong Tennis Club commencing at 6.00 pm.  Our guest speaker will be Martin Fothergill, Group General Manager, Merchanting Australasia, PaperlinX.  We have asked Martin to speak about the dynamics of the paper market globally and within Australia

Martin was appointed to his current position in November 2005.  He was previously Regional President – UK & Ireland and joined the PaperlinX Group in 2002 as Managing Director of Bunzl Fine Paper in the UK, later renamed to The Paper Company.   Martin has over 30 years experience in paper merchanting.

3.         Costing and Estimating – Do you need to know more?

We are planning our next Costing and Estimating course for July 10 and 11.  This course provides estimators with the tools needed to cost jobs and understand all the various components of cost for a particular job.  The course is aimed at people recently appointed to estimating jobs or those in management who need to better understand the process.  To register your interest, please contact Elaine Brodie for a flyer or go to Printnet to download one.
