Issue 10 – 2006

1.         Dates for your Diary

The Victorian AGM will be held on 19 April at Kooyong Tennis Club from 6.00 to 8.30 pm

The Tasmanian AGM will be held on 20 April at The Old Woolstore Hotel, Hobart at 3.00 pm

2.         Tasmania needs continuation of majority Government.

The elections in Tasmania are a competition between majority or minority Government, with the record of the majority Govt clearly in front of the alternative.  Our dealings with the current Government, and particularly the DED, have been generally productive.  From Printing Industries’ perspective, we would hope to be in a position next week to be discussing how we will roll out the opportunities we have been discussing, rather than starting from scratch.

3.         Fire at "The Bindery"

Following the fire at "The Bindery" in Burwood, management would like to advise that they have put arrangements in place to carry on working as normal.   Contact Mark Madigan or Rod Jenkins on (03) 9888 9833 to place your orders.

And Finally

A bear, a lion and a chicken meet.

The bear says: "if I roar in the forest, the entire forest is shivering with fear."

The lion says: "if I roar in the desert, the entire desert is afraid of me."

Says the chicken: "Big deal. I only have to cough once, and the entire planet panics."
