1.         Launch of e-Government Strategy

Special Minister of State the Hon Gary Nairn MP has launched the Australian Government's e-Government strategy Responsive Government, A New Service Agenda. Minister Nairn said. the strategy represents the next step for Australia in terms of improved online service delivery and responsive government. He expected that the new strategy would cut down red tape, with the intention that agencies and departments operate in a collaborative manner, rather than in isolation from each other. More information about the strategy is available online at www.agimo.gov.au.

2.         Penalties for Employers Using Illegal Workers
